Nice job on your blog!! I am learning a lot, and you are keeping up with your work! Mrs. J.

Response: Chester Taylor

I think it is important for the Vikings to re-sign Chester Taylor for at least a one year contract so the team can have an extra season to prepare another halfback behind Taylor that could take over as the number two halfback behind Adrian Peterson. It is possible the Vikings go into the draft looking for a quick halfback that can catch pretty well and come into different situations as a blocker. This would completely take over the role of Chester Taylor and definitely help the Vikings in the long run.

Notes: Chester Taylor

The Vikings are looking into re-signing their number two halfback, Chester Taylor. Taylor has been a nice complement to Adrian Peterson because he is good at catching the ball coming out of the back-field and is a very good pass blocker. Chester Taylor has been offered a contract by the Vikings but he wants the oppurtunity to go to a team where he can be the featured runningback. At 31 years old, Chester is probably not going to be signed by a team to be the number 1 guy, but will still be the number 2 guy. This will put him in the exact same situation he is in the Minnesota, so it seems pointless for him to decline the Vikings contract offer.

Response: Will Brett Favre Retire in 2010?

I personally think Brett Favre will end up holding out on his decision to comeback just so he doesn't have to go through spring training again because he doesn't like going through the physical strain. This kind of shows that he isn't as dedicated to playing football as he was earlier in his career, but he can still play at the top of his game without going through the spring workouts. Brett missed spring training last season and then had the best season of his career, which shows that he doesn't need the spring season to get in good enough shape to perform during the regular season. But overall I think Brett Favre will be back for a final season in the NFL.
